The Lorna Bethell Legacy Award was created in 2014 in honour of our late founder, Lorna Bethell. This award is presented annually by Bethell Hospice Foundation to an individual, family or organization that has made an outstanding contribution to the ongoing development and sustainability of Bethell Hospice.

The Elizabeth Birnie Leadership Award was created in 2012 to honour Elizabeth Birnie, daughter of Lorna Bethell, for her outstanding commitment, ongoing support and contribution. This award is presented annually by Bethell Hospice Foundation to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and contribution to the Foundation in promoting and raising funds.
