The first-ever Light Up the Runway Walk, held on August 7 at the Brampton Flight Centre, was a huge success. Expertly organized by Daphne Parsons and her team at the Brampton Flight Centre, participants gathered pledges of support and lit the flight centre runway with candles in honour of someone special. The event offered a unique opportunity to walk the runway usually restricted for aircrafts, and the view of the candle-lit runway was an awesome sight! In its first year, the event raised an amazing $14,668, and Brampton Flight Centre plans to make Light Up the Runway an annual event in support of Bethell Hospice Foundation. Be sure to look for it again in the summer of 2015.
