Giving Thanks

On October 17, Bethell Hospice Foundation held its annual Giving Thanks evening at Hockley Valley Resort. Major donors, partners and friends came together to be honoured for their support of Bethell Hospice Foundation. Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Bethell Hospice volunteer, Gillian Vanderburgh. Volunteer service awards were presented to Bethell Hospice Foundation Board Members Tim Powell (8 years), Syd Harmon (8 years), Danila Maric (6 years), John Sanderson (5 years), and Barb Gough (5 years). The Elizabeth Birnie Leadership Award was presented to Patti Foley. Patti has been a tireless advocate for Bethell Hospice for many years, both through her past role as Caledon Regional Councillor for Ward 5, and in her present role as founder of the web-based publication Just Sayin’ Caledon. Special guest speaker for the evening was Michele Keeler (daughter of former Bethell Hospice resident, Frieda Hofer, and the newest member of our Bethell Hospice nursing team).
